K.S.P.E. Members Participate in UK Engineering Day by Dr. Henry Connor
In celebration of National Engineers Week, the students and faculty of the Kentucky Society of Professional Engineers student chapter at Kentucky Wesleyan College travel to the University of Kentucky College of Engineering E-Day Open House to view exhibits and participate in activities. Activities each year include visiting various industrial booths, talking with UK engineering faculty, observing engineering research projects, and participating in various competitions. In the past, KWC engineering students built two model bridges to enter in the collegiate division of the Bridge Building competition. Winning first place in the competition was the bridge built by Ben Clark and Logan Keeling. Second place was taken by the bridge of Leland Civils and Ben Coolbear. All of the bridge-builders, along with sponsor Professor Henry Connor, attended the program at UK.
