Course
Syllabus contains important course information, schedule, and notes.

Homework
is done using the on-line homework and tutoring system WebAssign. Access codes can be purchased at the
bookstore. Before accessing the
first homework assignment you should log in to the WebAssign
site and enter your access code – see instructions. Your WebAssign
username is the same as your KWC username. Your WebAssign
password is initially set to your KWC username. You should change your
password immediately after logging in to WebAssign
the first time.

Laboratory
reports will be done in Microsoft Word with embedded Microsoft Excel
tables, and then uploaded to the assignment cross-checking system Turnitin.
Before uploading your first laboratory report, first time users will need to create an account
at which time you will also enroll in your proper laboratory
section. Existing users will need to login to their account and then
enroll in their proper laboratory section before uploading reports. The instructor will provide all
students with a course ID and password.

You must also register
Device ID to be included in the class polling roster. You will need the Device ID located
on the back of your response unit or provided when you created your ResponseWare account. When you register, you will need to
know your Device ID, First Name,
Last Name, and Other Info (which is your
student number printed on your KWC ID card). In
addition, the Instructor Email
is johnsonb@kwc.edu and the class is PHYS 2405 – General Physics II. If you need instructions, see the
following tutorial.

Course Evaluations are an important component of
our instructional program. An on-line course evaluation system was
developed to allow each student ample time to evaluate the course and
instructor, thus providing the institution with meaningful numerical
scores and detailed commentary while minimizing the loss of instructional
time in the classroom. The evaluation window for Spring 2012 will open on
Monday, April 16, 2012 and will close on Friday, April 27, 2012. To access the system during this time,
simply go to evaluation and proceed through the survey. Be sure to close the browser tab when
you are finished so that your responses are saved and you are given
credit for the evaluation. You
will need to use your student number (on
your KWC ID card) to log into the system; however, when you log in
you will be assigned a random number that will keep all your comments and
scores anonymous.
