Mission
Our
departmental programs are designed to provide students with an appreciation
of mathematics and physics, and their applications, and to provide students
with the ability to utilize them in a career, another discipline or to
pursue further studies in professional or graduate school.

Departmental
emphasis
As
a combined department of mathematics, physics, and pre-engineering we
have a strong interdisciplinary emphasis. We endeavor to relate courses
in one area to the other areas.

Facilities
We
have general physics and advanced physics laboratories, general
chemistry and physical chemistry laboratories, a chemical instrumentation
laboratory, computer laboratory, a project workshop, and classrooms located
on the second floor of the new Yu Hak Hahn Center for the Sciences. We have
a math computational laboratory and classroom located on the second floor
of the administration building.
