| Kitchen and dining table in the apartment.
Already our map is spread over table. See the pretty bowl of fruit brought in as a welcome as well as cheese and wine and milk. Nancy loves the sunflowers. |

Here in the living room you could use the futon for sleeping if you traveled to Ljubljana. On this tv Nancy watched "Brave Heart" in German and Alley McBeal in Slovene. Quite interesting! At other times we watch soccer or skiing. This happens only after10:30 p.m. after walking all around town and climbing the 4 flights of stairs about three times during the day. |
| Dorm life is revisited in this room with twin beds ,three nice wardrobes of which you see two, plus shelves . We have "down" bedding and flannel sheets. Now I see the use for duvet coverings. Walls are cement and no sound travels. |

This is the same room as above with the bedding in view. We do have a small light near the head of the two beds. Nancy wants some art for the walls. Henry has offered to produce some electron paramagnetic resonance spectra for her. |
| Yes, this is Nancy after two days with no hair dryer of the correct power. Anyway, who cares? We were at our "U.S. Embassy". Doesn't Henry look dapper and make a good Fulbright representative? The marines wouldn't let us take their picture inside or anyone else's. They take their security job very seriously. |
| Breda,Bill and Ivanka.
Breda is the resource person. Ivanka works with all visiting students and professors to Slovenia. Bill is the information director for the US Embassy. |
| Are you ready? We are now in Nova Gorica on Sunday
Jan7,2001.
This is Elizabeta, who met us and helped Henry carry his course papers into the Polytechnika Institute. She is a graduate student in biology and was raised in Nova Gorica. Henry is showing how much we put in the Ford Fiesta. Oh how tiny the cars are, but gosh are they fast!! |
