COURSE DESCRIPTIONS

Art 1301 Beginning Drawing I -3 hours
A basic drawing course for majors and non-majors. Fundamental drawing practices will be explored in various media with an emphasis on individual growth. No previous art experience necessary.

Art 1311 Two Dimensional Design-3 hours
An introductory course dealing with the basics of design on a two-dimensional surface. For majors and non-majors interested in expanding their visual awareness. No previous art experience necessary

Art 1312 Three Dimensional Design and Materials-3 hours
An introductory course dealing with design and materials in a three dimensional world. This is a hands-on, problem-solving course. Mass, line, volume, plane and texture will be explored while the student learns to work in a wide variety of materials

Art 1380 Art Survey-3 hours
An introduction to the visual arts through a historical approach. The course includes lecture, discussion, and research. No prerequisites.
